This has to be the best food in Grand Island, hands down! We started with a half order of onion rings, and unlike most people I didn't really care for them as I felt they were kind of bland and boring. For my meal I had the Phat Elvis burger with bacon, which was a beef patty that they breaded and deep fried. It may sound weird but it tasted amazing! My wife had the Golden Nugget, which was a burger with a bun and fries all smothered in nacho cheese that she enjoyed, but couldn't quite finish the whole thing. She did however finish her blue margarita that she said was very good. The service here was great and believe it or not at 5PM on a Friday night they weren't that busy. I have been here during the noon hour before though and there wasn't anywhere to sit as this is a small restaurant.

Great food and great service. Try the jalapeño bacon with your brunch. Fast coffee and water refills. Heard the cook offer to make special order breakfasts for all the staff as he was closing the grill. Really nice.

Best burgers in grand island possibly anywhere... love the Texas hold em burger and the sizzling 7 burger.. jalapeno bacon is amazing... homemade fries can't get any better than that!!!!! If you are looking for a great burger this is a must try!!!!

This was the best non-franchise place to get food while I was in NE. If you're ever in GI, and you need a quick bite, this is the one place I'd recommend. The Texas Hold 'Em Burger is very good. Texas Toast on a burger is a great combo, and their homemade chips are a great complement.

This is technically a burger place and they have a nice variety of burgers and a good beer selection. They have a good spicy mayo for dipping your fries in! They also offer a great breakfast on the weekends. If you prefer a place that serves bloody Mary's to the Perkins Breakfast atmosphere you should check it out! This place is cozy and the servers are really friendly. They have cool retro Vegas art posters at each booth and sweet sconces.

The wait is long.... 20-30 minutes. The servers don't give you much attention and seem frantic. A lot of Caucasian people..... Lol. Very old school. Limited choices for brunch. They didn't have much of what I wanted. The coffee tasted like hot water..... But the food was decent.

This was another place recommended for their selection of burgers by some of our local contacts during our business trip. As another reviewer mentioned, it has a Las Vegas themed naming scheme for their menu, which is more gimmicky than anything else. My coworkers ordered the Flamingo, which i believe had a slightly confusing description that it was good for veggie lovers (though it is definitely not a vegetarian burger). They also had freshly made potato chips as their included sides, which you can get plain, ranch flavored, or with a blue cheese dressing drizzle. I ordered something called the phat elvis burger because it was incredibly ridiculous; a beer battered deep fried burger patty topped with american cheese, onions and some special sauce on top. That's right, a beer battered deep fried burger patty. I had to order coleslaw as the side to balance my meal out. I gotta say it was really tasty, but no one should eat this burger on a frequent basis. So if you're in town and want a crazy good burger, this is the place to try.

VISITED FOR BRUNCH on a Sunday. Had the sourdough biscuits and gravy with hash browns and over-easy eggs. Everything is very nice, except the food quality. The quality of the food they use is of low grade. It is prepared nicely, looks appealing, but is completely FLAT. I estimate they are no different than 90% of the restaurants out there. We were very disappointed in the food quality. We may return; but, not for that particular meal as the place has a "cool" ambiance which is very appealing. I am giving them 3-stars for everything minus the low-grade food.

Wow they need a lesson on hygiene and service. No one was in the Restaraunt when we walked in and 45 minutes later still waiting for our food. Of course when one of the cooks sits at the bar for 20 minutes talking after our order was placed that may be part of the problem. We see the same cook dropping fries with no gloves. He then proceeds to walk out front with a pita ( part of our order) in his bare hands to get s spoon and then touches a guy sitting at the bar on his way back to the kitchen . When questioned he said he washed his hands .... That doesn't change the fact the food was in his hand when he touched the guy. Of course we did not eat the pita. After we complained he stood on the doorway of the kitchen and stared at us. The servers were very sweet and the rest of the meal was comped. They were totally appalled and were very apologetic . Eat there at your own risk.

Was surprised by this place as I've never heard of it before and wanted to try something new in GI this weekend. Wide selection of burgers to choose from(you can even build your own down to the kind of bread/bun you'd like) as well as a variety of sides, onion sides, side salad, coleslaw, chili cheese fries, regular fries and seasoned fries. The menu states which costs more and when you pick a side that does cogs more our waitress let us know when ordering. Burgers were very good, fries were tasty and the side salad was huge! Service is very friendly, even though the girl seemed very busy she was always smiling and in good spirits when helping us. Can't wait to try something different next time.

I have been to this place a couple times now. They have a great variety of burgers. The hamburgers are real hamburger patties and not preform frozen patty's. One of my favorite places to grab a hamburger in Grand Island!

A group of us ate here following the Prairie Lights Film Festival. It was a Saturday afternoon in mid-September, 2014. I had the 'The Sizzling 7's,' a 7oz burger stuffed with serrano peppers and pepperjack cheese, topped with jalapeno bacon. Two others in my group had different burgers. All burgers were well-done but were still tasty. The burgers came with a side of fresh, french fries. There was at least 5-6 different beers on tap and a full bar. The atmosphere was really cool. I would describe it as Mid-Century Modern, Atomic Ranch. Prices were reasonable. Our total bill for four people was around $65, for three burgers and four rounds of drinks. We will be back the next time we are in town.

One of the best burgers I've ever had. Had the Texas Hold'em with ranch fries. Bacon on it was excellent. Service was friendly. Water tasted a little weird - maybe it's the city water?? It was so popular at lunch, I saw a group come in & leave because all of the tables were full. Next time I'm in Grand Island, I'll be back.

Good local restaurants in GI are very few and far between. This place definitely is one of those shimmering lights in a sea of chains and mediocrity. My fiance and I stopped in here for a late lunch last weekend. We took a gamble, because when we are in town we ALWAYS go get our Bonzai fix (another fantastic Grand Island restaurant owned by the same people). We decided to go out on a limb and try something new. We walked in and I immediately liked the atmosphere and decor. They've got a fun, dark and dirty, Las Vegas feel going in here with lots of old slot machines and gaming equipment. We found ourselves a booth and were greeted by a very friendly waitress. I ordered a bloody mary to drink, because the menu said they make their own mix and I'm a sucker for bloody mary's (especially on a Sunday afternoon). We perused the VERY large menu and tried to decide what to get to eat. Seriously, this menu is a bit overwhelming and scattered all over the place. I finally pieced it all together and ordered The Flamingo Burger (lettuce, tomato, sprouts, avocado, and cilantro mayo) and a side of onion rings. The gent ordered The 'Ole Blue Eyes (burger dipped in wing sauce smothered in bleu cheese) with their homemade potato chips smothered in a homemade special bleu cheese sauce (as you can tell, we weren't too concerned about our waistlines on this particular day). My bloody mary was fantastic and it was the perfect sipping drink while I eagerly waited for my meal. I highly recommend it. In a very reasonable amount of time (we were one of 2 tables in the joint) we got our food and started digging in. The onion rings were fantastic. They make them just how I like them. Not too much batter, extra crispy, thinly sliced...mmmm mmmm. They were so good. My burger was decent. The toppings were great, but I wouldn't say the burger itself was anything special. Not a bad burger by any means, but nowhere close to the best I've ever had. The gent's homemade potato chips with the bleu cheese sauce were amazing. Definitely do yourself a favor and pay the extra for that sauce on top. He also wasn't super wowed by his burger, but enjoyed the flavors of the wing sauce and toppings. The service here was excellent and very attentive. Over all, I'd say if you're in the area and craving some fantastic fried food and decent burgers go here. Give it a try. It's one of few good eateries in this sleepy town.

This place has the best bacon!!! Thick and delicious! I have had the Texas Hold 'Me burger and the Porker which is a fantastic BLT. The fries are cut on site and are good seasoned or not. They can be busy on Friday and Saturday night but it is worth the wait.

For burger fans only. This place rocks. First, even though we had to wait for a booth, we got sit on comfy couches so thumbs up there. I admit, I was there twice in one day. For lunch I built my own burger, hold the bun because I'm a low carber. Ordered a side salad too. The salad was huge! But the burger was simply amazing. It was delicious, topped with some of my favorites, like Havarti cheese and applewood smoked bacon.. and of course topped with a fried egg. Dinner, I switched up the cheese but basically it was just as good the second time. I did try the home made onion rings which were remarkable (only a few of course) and might have poached a few fries from my husband... and some home made chips from my mother-in-law. Excellent, all of them. Always worth a visit when I'm in the neighborhood.

We have eaten here twice in the last year while visiting GI. Would go back in a hot second. We last ate here Friday, 11/8/2013. This restaurant proves if you do everything right, you can charge $8-9 for a hamburger in small-town Nebraska, and thrive. We have never strayed from the burgers and salads but they have sandwiches on the menu too. That's about it. The restaurant is clean. Service is solid. The 'vegas' concept is gimmicky and really unnecessary. Look past that and focus on the menu. The flavors are amazing. Everything is perfectly executed. They have craft beer on tap, a plus. Great for groups of four or smaller. They have a burger stuffed with hot chile peppers which is a must-try. If there's a wait, don't leave-- it's unlikely you will find anything this good for dinner nearby. This place would thrive just about anywhere in the US.

I've only been here twice and I plan on coming back many more times. I really want to love this place, but I've had two completely different meals here. I'm giving it three stars because the first time I ate here was for dinner and my burger was way over done. I thought it odd that this place boasts that they use fresh, high quality beef and then they serve well done dried out burgers. The bacon on the burger tasted like it was cooked in deep fat fryer. They were thick, leathery strips of bacon. I had serious reservations about coming back..but i did and this time I went for breakfast on a Sunday, but I ended up having to order lunch since they stop serving breakfast at 11am on Sundays; so don't plan on brunch at Sin City. They should serve breakfast till noon on the weekends. It can't be that difficult to pull off. Anyway, I ordered the mushroom burger and onion rings. The burger was great. It was cooked to my liking and was very juicy. The onion rings were fantastic too and my strawberry shake was the perfect lunch time dessert. So, the first trip sucked, but the second trip proved why this place has a reputation for serving great burgers. With it's it's old school Vegas vibe and potentially great menu, this place is a good stop in GI.

So I was looking for a good burger in town and this place had some good reviews and I decided to give it a try. I walk in and the décor was retro 50's with images of Vegas and a bunch of jukebox looking things. So I sit down and one of the people working there greets me and asks me what I want to drink, I order a Pepsi and he leaves and comes back to take my order. I order this jalapeño burger with chili cheese fries and he leaves....still no drink. I then get my food and he notices I didn't get a drink and he says that It'll be on the house since he forgot about it, "ok, cool" I think to myself. So as I take in the first bite of the burger I just feel this stream of grease just drip from the burger down my lips and to my chin.....think nothing of it and keep eating...So fast forward a couple of hours I get the worse food poisoning I've ever had in my life! I have never been sicker and thrown up as much as I did after going here...just writing about this is making me nauseous, so if you want to get sick, stop by the Sin City Grill!
